Dec 29, 2008 - I know what your saying. Holden fan boys only have the "If mine had a turbo" argument left. There Holden has been beaten by a turbo 6 and there not happy. I think the fact there saying "If i put a turbo on my 8" says a lot about what they understand about the engines and how to get the power. Please, bolt a turbo to your HSV without doing any internal streanthening and working out your compression ratio and make it a daily driver faster than an F6, see how far you get for reasonable money.

Jan 1, 2009 - I'd agree, except putting German cars under the "Bad built quality", there pretty decent in comparison to all the others you mentioned. And maybe the Australian cars drivelines, not to crash hot from my experiences. A ford 9inch cant make up for all the failures we had had to deal with in the past years. But we have made big improvements, the proof being the big Kw, reasonably heavy sedans we make and supply a driveline that can deal with it.

If you watch top gear and other reviews, the HSV is always faster off the line, but after around 8 seconds, the FPV's Turbo kicks in hence resulting in a close match. The fact the FPV got off the mark in this race means the HSV would get overall floored to shit

Want to talk mods? your stroked 8 will soon be compared to a (GASP) Japanese car that will rape it in every way. Lets keep the argument about the car that was produced for sale as is. Australian cars are know world wide to have terrible build quality and generally under-perform for what they are. The F6 is changing that opinion, so i say go Ford!
