Jun 9, 2008 - dont know,this certainly isnt an english video so i dont expect the engine to be in any of our cars, but the hcs in england is found in the ford ka and fiesta range,its based on the valencia/kent engine with single point injection and an electronic coil pack where the dizzy used to sit,but these were overhead valve engines not ohc so this engine puzzles me,maybe its mazda based?

Jun 9, 2008 - i just googled this engine and didnt really help matters! the hcs stands for high compression swirl. the hcs in the UK was used in escorts and fiestas but the ka used an endura-E engine which is identical to the hcs except for having an alloy sump and different inlet and exhaust manifolds. so basically an endura-E is an hcs! cant find any info on th hcs I4 ohc engine tho!
